The impact of crises in the 21 st century on the railway transport sector in Poland in terms of economic security

The article presents research on the impact of financial crisis between 2007-2009 and COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 freight passenger rail transport sector. Multidimensional comparative analyses were used study. data obtained for grouped. They were, then, compiled categorized line bar charts. shows that during 2007-2009, a decrease number transported goods by 48 488 thousand tons was observed. During 2019 2020, also visible - 15,363 tones. However, when considering passengers transported, Poland there an increase 1,928 people period compared to 130,270 passengers. When examining sector Poland, employees 385 observed years 2003-2021. increased 5,745 people, while 2019, it decreased 109. In case oscillated around arithmetic mean 23,914 employees. Between 2003-2007, downward trend can be observed, followed 2008 subsequent years.
